I get asked this question by my clients almost daily, What kind of hair is the best hair for weaving? Well, I am being honest with you, there isn’t a direct answer to this question. Basically, the best hair for weaving is the best hair that you like. There are different types and textures of hair, and everybody likes different types of hair, depending on different factors.
You can get hair that are not natural, a.k.a synthetic hair or you can go for the real human hair weaves. And then there are Indian hair, Malaysian Hair, Brazilian Hair, Peruvian Hair and the list goes on and on. Every kind of hair has unique characteristics and properties that make them distinct. Let’s discuss it in more detail.
Each type of hair has a texture, which is exclusive to that particular hair type. And then there are curl or wave patterns. You can go for straight hair, body wave, deep wave or even tight curly. It all comes down to your personal preference.
This is the most popular type of human hair you can find. And that is not because it is low quality mass produced hair. Instead that is because it suits so many women that everybody wants it. It has a natural shine and thickness to it which is loved by African-American women.
This type of hair is completely unprocessed. That also has it’s own pros and cons. For example, you will need to spend a lot of time coloring and processing the virgin hair. But on the other hand, you get the freedom to do whatever you want with it. If you like the freedom and don’t mind spending some time on the hair then Virgin hair is the best one for you. Don’t come at me if you mess it up, that’s part of the deal when you choose to go virgin hair.
Remy Hair looks just like virgin hair but there are some differences. Unlike virgin hair, the Remy hair has all the cuticles going to the same direction. And you can also get the Remy hair which have been processed and colored. Again this is not the case for virgin hair. The main advantage of Remy hair over virgin hair is that it does not tangles as much.
You can say Peruvian kind of hair is a cross between the Brazilian Hair and the Indian hair. Basically, with the peruvian hair you get the shine of Indian hair and the corseness and thickness of the brazilian hair. You can say that you can get the best of both worlds. Depending on what characteristics you consider as best.
At the end I would like to say that whatever type of hair you choose to go for, keep in mind that you are beautiful and if someone says otherwise, you need to remove them from your life.
